Rebecca Martin, PhD, DPT, NCS
I am a nationally known expert in Parkinson’s disease who loves utilizing technology to produce exceptional learning experiences for a variety of audiences. I have a passion for making complicated content easy to understand.
My dedication to building a community for those who have Parkinson’s disease is evident through my accomplishments. I organized the first Parkinson’s disease exercise clinic in Peru, am a Parkinson’s Foundation faculty scholar, completed my PhD dissertation on improving movement for people with Parkinson’s disease, and have run a monthly Parkinson’s support group in rural upstate New York since 2014.
I have honed my content production, program management, and technological skills during my 9 years of experience teaching full-time in allied health programs, through holding leadership roles in non-profit organizations that led to the production of a wide variety of media, and earning advanced certifications like my Cornell University Leading Remote Teams Certification and my Evidence in Motion Hybrid Teaching Certificate.
Thank you for taking the time to review my portfolio. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed the privilege of being a part of the programs and projects that are represented here!

In this special episode, Dr. Rebecca Martin interviews Dr. Graham Cochrane about his recent publication in the July 2021 issue of the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy: “Comprehensive Clinical Assessment of Vestibular Function in Multiple Sclerosis.” They discuss his significant findings in central vestibular integration through variance in response to subjective visual vertical and dynamic visual acuity, as well as its association with disease severity. In addition, Dr. Cochrane describes each vestibular measure used in his study and his recommendation for an efficient battery of clinical vestibular tests. Listen in to discover more about vestibular function in multiple sclerosis and how you can best assess it in your patients!
